This observatory uses a radio wave reception technique based on the reflection of distant radio signals off the ionized trail left by meteoroids aka forward scatter. Specifically, it utilizes as a source the signal from a French space radar located near Dijon. The receiver's signal is continuously monitored 24/7, and if a positive detection occurs, the spectrum image of the signal is saved and later reviewed by a binary classification model and uploaded to this website.
